This past month, we had two special edition articles! This overview and a Halloween special. It's finally time to get spooky with this breakdown of the hottest celeb, content creator, and tv/film spooky (or just super wild and whimsical) looks!
The beauty industry is forever changing and the BEATdown will help you keep up with these updates and hopefully inspire you in your own makeup journey and careers.
Content creators are truly making strides and setting the trends in an industry that used to only give chances to those with a certification. No matter what you feel about their abilities, these artists, though mainly self-taught, are so hardworking that they paint, tape, and quite literally beat their faces (and sometimes upper bodies 😂) more than once a day in front of a camera. The time management and editing skills it takes to maintain a platform as an mua should be respected more and I hope this series shows my appreciation for their commitment to this contribution.
Though most of TV and film is saturated with neutral and minimal makeup looks, some artists are able to push the limits and send shockwaves through the industry with creative designs and sets. The shots are definitely more scrutinized and these artists sincerely work hard to create looks that can enhance the perspective each director is striving to obtain on and off camera.
